Rui CarmoSpent the afternoon doing a bit of everything, including playing around with a Python PNG Canvas based on a Ruby Sparklines library I had come across a couple of months ago.
- Via Ted Leung, there's a new Python WebDAV server in town: TwistedDAV - maybe this will be the reason to really dive into Twisted.
- Looks like the Gnome deskbar-applet is getting some Quicksilver-like functionality.
- OpenOffice finally saw the light and is investing in a Mac OS X Cocoa port. Like Gruber points out, they've been down this road before without anything to show for it, so I won't harp on about it.
- While we're on OpenOffice, you can watch or listen to Tim's keynote on open file formats, a topic that has been tickling my fancy of late (via Slashdot, requires VideoLAN).
- 10.4.3 is coming. Again. Even if the 10.4.3 update has been on my "download on sight" right after Google Earth, I'm not exactly holding my breath, even if new hardware might be coming too (of note is this piece regarding the usual shortage of Apple gear on European shelves, which I confirmed in three different places when trying to get an iSight this week).
- I just saw a Serenity ad on national TV - apparently it's going to debut here this week or the next - and I wonder if anyone even knows what it's about (the series was never aired here in Portugal, at least as far as I know).
