Should Tech and Politics Mix?

Okay. So Slashdot, instead of going ballistic as usual, has followed the general stampede towards the U.S. Presidential ellection and, like most everything else based in America, gone political:

The first thought that crossed my mind: wasn't it all about some sort of politics already?
