Well, looks like someone scored a scoop and got the new Newsweek cover depicting the 4G iPod - or a very good PhotoShop spoof (via 2lmc). Me, I'm glad they apparently decided to go for a single control surface on all iPods - it's one of the best human interface solutions I've ever seen for controlling any sort of device, and ought to be applied (or licensed, since it's probably patented to the Moon and back) to a lot of other things - like DVD remotes, for one thing.

- A nice piece on Sun's strategy and how Scott McNealy keeps doggedly at the helm. Cobalt fans will find some interesting tidbits that confirm what I always guessed - that the SPARCheads basically made it impossible for Cobalt development to continue, thus killing off a great (and very profitable) product line.
- Wow. SIP and Gaim, together at last. If only it used SIP for IM instead of voice calls...
- Graphviz got updated again, and Tofu is proving indispensable to read long articles - nothing like six columns of text across my 20" panel...
