Firebird has been renamed to Firefox, and 0.8 is out. Thunderbird was also bumped to 0.5, and now supports Palm syncing on some platforms.
As a result, ftp.mozilla.org is currently overloaded, so I heartily recommend looking for mirrors or waiting until all the excitement dies down. Also, given a few structural changes in both apps, reading the release notes and waiting for more feedback from early adopters is recommended...
Resistance Is Futile
On a more mobile note, Nokia is buying out Psion's stake in Symbian, which will most likely be seen as Nokia's ouvert assertion of its dominance inside Symbian - and undoubtedly criticized as a step towards transforming it into a Nokia-centric venture.
