The Slashdot crowd is raving about a personal server being developed by Intel Research ([whitepaper][ps-whitepaper], [UBICOMP 2002 submission paper][ps-ubicomp]).
It’s essentially a hard disk with Bluetooth[networking/bluetooth] connectivity, which eerily reminds me of The Register’s story about a Bluetooth iPod.
It also seems like a useful concept. Heck, I’d use my iPod to carry around my desktop environment if I used a Mac at work… Thing is - what’s the battery life?
