WineBottler is the successor of Darwine, a cross between WINE and “Bochs”:Wikipedia:Bochs that looked like this back on 2005:

I initially thought this would take ages to get going, but with Apple’s ‘s shift to Intel, it turned out to be an amazingly versatile way to run some Windows apps on the Mac, and just keeps on going – there’s a very good tutorial available.
