MSN

MSN is Microsoft's brand name for web services. Following an initial attempt at providing a proprietary ISP service (nearly nobody remembers that anymore, since it started way back before the browser wars), it then evolved into a full-blown portal, search engine and Instant Messaging service.

MSN Messenger is the IM service in most Portuguese networks (even corporate ones).
