Stayed late setting up some test gear. Nothing much, but time-consuming.

  • Quicksilver was updated to Beta 30. 43 Folders, ever alert, led me to the notes on triggers. And that, in turn, led me to the (brand new for me) del.icio.us module. Flabbergastingly useful - I don't think I'll ever use normal bookmarks again. Not that I did use bookmarks, ever since Google appeared, but you get my drift.
  • Looks like there are more Series 90 phones. Of course Nokia is keeping mum about this, but it's intriguing as hell.
  • HAL 9000 (or rather, the lens that portrayed it) is up for auction. If the first decent AI has any real sense of humor, its first spoken words will be "Hello, Dave."
  • If someone can make Growl do this, I'll use it for everything.
  • 16.7 megapixels ought to be enough for everybody. If they can afford it, of course.

Also, I've finally removed all inline GIFs from external links, which should vastly improve things for RSS readers - it's now done by setting a non-tiled background image and a little padding.
