Network Computing (also dubbed "Thin Client") is the computing model that just keeps coming back for more. Besides X11 and recent "remote display" technologies like VNC and Remote Desktop, there are umpteen variations on this theme, and here are a few of the less obvious ones:
- PC Expanion, a cheap desktop sharing solution that seems to use a form of RDP (or at least hook into the base OS support for it).
- JackPC - an embedded Windows CE device using Ethernet inline power.
