Atom

Atom is a set of specifications for publishing, syndicating, archiving and editing episodic web sites.

The dumbest omission so far? A polling interval attribute like RSS's ttl.

Resources:

  • RFC:5023 - The Atom Publishing Protocol
  • RFC:4287 - The Atom Syndication Format
  • Atom Wiki (messy as hell)
  • 0.3 Spec
  • ConformanceTests

Parsers:

  • An interesting Ruby-based parser (via)
